HELP!:INSTALLING

Please help me with this!  I am trying to install RedHat ver. 4.0 of Linux!
 Todo this,  you must use a boot disk. When I stick in the Linus boot disk,
 It says omething like this, 

"LILO BOOT:
Starting Linux:...
Decompressing Linux files"

Then it comes up with an error message that says 
crc error
system halted

Can anyone please help me with this???  I would greatly appreciate this!
