Dival jsem se do 2.1.59.

Plug and Play support
CONFIG_PNP
  Plug and Play support allows the kernel to automatically configure
some
  peripheral devices.  Say Y to enable PnP.

je fakt, ze tohle ma opravdu jen vztah k
drivers/pnp/parport_probe.c ( coz je ten p. port ) :))

Ale neni sam:

/drivers/sound/configure.c
[...]

[...]

Mozna je toho vic. Nemam ted bohuzel cas se na to poradne
podivat.
