cannot type accented chars, RH6.1

Hello,

I am sorry for bringing this up in case it has been through the group 
already.

However beeing Czech Native I'd love to type some of our accented chars, 
but I cannot.

I use RH6.1, I type using /usr/share/fonts/ISO8859-2 fonts, I run 
/usr/bin/kikbd with /usr/share/apps/kikbd/csy.kimap keybaord map set.

Any idea, wrong keybord map?
