DTC3181 under Linux (fwd)

 Mozna je to vseobecne znama vec, ale mel jsem moznost ji teprve
nedavno uspesne vyzkouset.
Prikladam mail, ze ktereho jsem cerpal. Omlouvam se, ale jmeno autora
se  mi nekde behem kopirovani podarilo nechtene odstranit.

Hi,

the dtc3181 is supported by the module g_NCR5380. Here a domex card
DMX3181LE runs with the settings

modprobe g_NCR5380 dtc_3181e=1 io=0x280 irq=255

(maybe it was ioport, have a look at
/usr/src/linux/drivers/scsi/README.g_NCR5380)

unfortunately the dtc_3181e=1 (or dtc3181e=1 if you want to compile it
into the kernel) switch is a patch which is not documented in the
README. have a look at the source for other possible io ports.
