zvlastni hodnoty pri pingu

nedavno jsem narazil na zvlastni jev. Asi pred tydnem jsem zacal mit problemy s
NFS. Odezvy byly cim dal tim horsi a system obcas nahlasil nedostupnost
pocitace.  Pri pingu na stroj exportujici dany svazek se zjevily nasledujici
podivne hodnoty: 

64 bytes from 147.231.4.87: icmp_seq=161 ttl=64 time=19023.4 ms
64 bytes from 147.231.4.87: icmp_seq=162 ttl=64 time=18036.9 ms
64 bytes from 147.231.4.87: icmp_seq=163 ttl=64 time=17044.3 ms
64 bytes from 147.231.4.87: icmp_seq=164 ttl=64 time=16044.6 ms
64 bytes from 147.231.4.87: icmp_seq=165 ttl=64 time=15044.9 ms
64 bytes from 147.231.4.87: icmp_seq=166 ttl=64 time=14045.3 ms
64 bytes from 147.231.4.87: icmp_seq=167 ttl=64 time=13045.6 ms
64 bytes from 147.231.4.87: icmp_seq=168 ttl=64 time=12045.9 ms
64 bytes from 147.231.4.87: icmp_seq=169 ttl=64 time=11046.2 ms

toto se periodicky opakovalo, jen obcas posloupnost nezacala od 19023 ale treba
od 9066 (i v tomto se dala vysledovat pravidelnost). 

Oba stroje byly propojeny pres jeden switch a dle diod byla zatez site ve
spickach asi 40%

nenapada nekoho vysvetleni te podivne pravidelnosti namerenych hodnot?
