Zdravim

Moj problem spociva v oziveni disku v plnej kapacite.
Jedna sa o disk Maxtor 91303D6 :
hda: Maxtor 91303D6, 12427MB w/512kB Cache, CHS=25249/16/63, UDMA
mal by to byt 13.03 gb disk.

A tu je vypis fdisk-u :
Using /dev/hda as default device!

The number of cylinders for this disk is set to 25249.
There is nothing wrong with that, but this is larger than 1024,
and could in certain setups cause problems with:
1) software that runs at boot time (e.g., LILO)
2) booting and partitioning software from other OSs
   (e.g., DOS FDISK, OS/2 FDISK)

Command (m for help): p

Disk /dev/hda: 16 heads, 63 sectors, 25249 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 1008 * 512 bytes

Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/hda1 * 1 21 10552+ 83 Linux
/dev/hda2 22 4085 2048256 83 Linux
/dev/hda3 4086 14244 5120136 5 Extended
/dev/hda4 14245 18308 2048256 83 Linux
/dev/hda5 4086 14244 5120104+ 83 Linux

Command (m for help): n
No free sectors available

Podla dokumentacie by ten disk mal mat 25249/16/63 CHS.
Zacinam byt zufaly. Bolo by skoda nevyuzit 3 gb,
je to predsa len solidna cast disku.
