SMTP AUTH on FreeBSD 4.6.2 - HOWTO!?!?

I've laptop users who want use the same SMTP from everywhere
/Internet/intranet/.
I need to run SMTP AUTH via Sendmail on FreeBSD 4.6.2.
The users should provide the same user/pass as they have on the machine
(normal user account), but is not required - I can maintain another
user/pass database.
I've installed port from /usr/ports/mail/sendmail-sasl a everything went
well.
Wat do I need to do next??? Tons of .mc .cf .m4 files are really confusing!
