Soundcard Fortemedia -fm801 nefunguje - nelze otevrit dev/dsp

Pouzivam  RH 7.3, kernel 2.4.18-3. Zakl. desku  SOLTEK SL-85DR2-C,
integrovanou  zvukovou kartu. Pri zadani lspci se mi objevuje
karta fm801,  Stahnul jsm si proto ovladac
z alsy, instaloval dle navodu. zkomiloval jsem znovu jadro, pridal
modul pres modprobe -fm 801, upravil etc/modules,
pri instalaci nebyl nebyl hlasen zadny eror.
Avsak stale nelze otevrit dev/dsp.
Zprava /etc/messages hlasi viz nize:
Je tu nejaka sance kartu zprovoznit? Instalace RH 8.0 nepomaha.
