pilot m105 & rh80

hi,

i have redhat 80 and palm pilot m105 with serial rs232 sync interface.
The pilot does not wont to be connected for sync with any program i have 
installed on the rh80.
i am sure i have done correct port setting and needed daemons are runnig.
I cannot find any stuff about at the net around.
Please, could you help me?

(btw, i am thinking to use the irda feature, but i was not succefull to 
compile my kernel to support the irda.... )
