nainstaloval jsem si RH8.0 a mam problem s klavesou F2.

vsechny ostatni funkcni klavesy delaji to co maji, jenom F2 vypise vzdy
nejake 3 znaky. treba v MC by F2 melo ulozit soubor, misto toho to ale do
souboru neco napise

V shellu mi F1 vypise A, F3 C, F4 D atd, ale F2 nevypise nic (a melo by asi
vypsat B).

nevite nekdo jak tu klavesu 'naucit' delat to co ma? :)

	Kopirovat /etc/passwd, /etc/shadow, /etc/group, /etc/sgroup a pripadne

(Dobre je nezapomenout na /var/spool/mail, /var/spool/cron a

zdravim!
prave jsem si doinstaloval RedHat 8.0 a mam nasledujici problem
Pri instalaci jsem zvolil ceske prostredi a kdyz mi nabehne KDE stejne 
to na me porad mluvi anglicky. Kdyz zadam redhat-config-language potvrdi 
mi to ceske prostredi. V text. konzoli je vse v pohode a tam je cestina OK.
Nevim jestli se ma neco nekde prepnout, ale na posledni RH 7.3 mi tam 
cestina bezela hned OK po instalaci.

Tak bych pozadal o radu co stim.

Lze nainstalovat Red Hat 7.1. za 1024 cylinder? Při spuštění instalace se
vypíše chyba s limitem 1024 a instalace se ukončí.

K bootování počítače s různými OS používám Xosl, takže se spuštěním za 1024
cyl. by neměl být problém, ale jak ten linux tam dostat?

Mam sitovku 3c905 a nainstaloval jsem si RH8.0. S drivejsimi verzemi
linuxu nebyl zadny problem, ale ted mi sice system detekoval hardware,
ale nevytvoril pro nej /dev/eth?. Pri bootu mi tedy network hazi
chyby, ze nemuze aktivovat rozhrani. Muzete mi s tim nekdo, prosim,
pomoci?

Zrovna pred chvili jsem cetl na linux na linux.cz, ze pry instalator i pres
zvolene ceske prostredi chybne nenainstaluje balicek kde-i18n-cs... (z
hlavy si presny nazev nepamatuji, ale verim, ze to na CD uz najdete :)
Je-li to pravda, jeho doinstalovani by to snad melo vyresit.

	Přidejte konkrétní údaje a přesně jednotky, v jakých měříte.
Mezi Mb a MB je totiž trochu rozdíl - zhruba jeden řád. Hlavně záleží na
tom, jak jsou počítače "datové propustné" - rychlost sítě vám je na nic,
když se data zapisují na pomalý disk. Pokud měříte jenom průchodnost sítě,
nesmíte zapisovat, ale to zase není reálná situace.
Běžné je přenášet takových 6 MiB za sekundu.

	Ne. Pokud fakt potřebujete rychlost, investujte do dobrých
přepínačů. Lepší síťovku oceníte u serverů nebo hodně síťově vytížených
stanic, ale takových, kde nebrzdí disk, paměť, procesor.
Další věc, kterou nepíšete, je jestli máte síť přepínanou nebo máte nějaký
noname hub. A kolik je v síti celkem počítačů. Jestli měříte za plného
provozu. A tak dále.

Ale pritom z ni jsem RH 7.2 jsem nainstaloval.

Proste prikaz mnt /dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom
mi hodi hlasku, ze blok neexistuje.

	To bude těžké. Ale vypadá to na špatně nakonfigurovanou síť.
Pokud pošlete postup, co jste dělal, co jste nedělal a jak _přesně_
zní chybová hláška, někdo vám poradí určitě. Ale s /dev/eth* to nebude mít
nic společného, takové věci za normálních okolností neexistují.

	Můžete příště ten příkaz i chybovou hlášku opsat přesně? Ani jedno
se vám nepovedlo. Ale 2 pravděpodobné příčiny jsou, že nemáte v jádře modul

Zkontrolujte, zda /dev/cdrom existuje a zda ukazuje na spravné 
blokové zařízení.

Dekuji vsem za rady.
Starou CD mechaniku to pripoji, jen s touhle mitsumkou je problem.
Kdyz napisu:
mount /dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom
se starou cd mech., namountuje se, u nove to hlasi tu hlasku o neexistujicim blokovem zarizeni.
Tu hlasku muzu prinest az zitra.

	Tak to je asi hláška
# mount -t iso9660 /dev/hdc /mnt/cdrom
mount: /dev/hdc není platným blokovým zařízením

Jaká je to mechanika? Jak ji detekovalo jádro a jakému speciálnímu zařízení
ho přidělilo? Manipuloval někdo s /etc/modules.conf?

Vazeni pratele,

rad bych se zacal vice "kamaradit" s RedHatem 7.1, ale me usili jiz ztroskotalo na nastaveni modemu. Memu modemu (DeskPorte 56K Voice) stale "nechutna" oznamovaci ton me telefonni linky. Ta ma naprosto standardni ton, jako kazda jina. Ve firme MICROCOM jsem byl poucen, ze je treba k vytacecimu stringu pripsat ATX nebo ATX3. Strasne rad bych to udelal, ale po celodennim vyzkumu se mi to nezdarilo. Vim, ze ve verzi RH 7.3 staci jen zadat kouzelnou preambuli kppp v terminalu a objevi se rozhrani, ktere umozni vyskrtnout parametr "cekat na oznamovaci ton" jako je tomu ve Windows. Bohuzel, prvni instalacni CD z RH 7.3 nemohu ve svem PC "rozjet", respektive az po dlouhe dobe - takze z nej nelze nabootovat instalaci. Kdyz bootuji z diskety, tak mam taky problemy. Navic RH 7.1 mi na mem PC bezi dobre, takze to nechci menit.

Byl bych Vam velmi vdecny za pomoc

kdyz ted dam treba  wget "http://neco.cz/t est.txt', tak mi to stahne
soubor, ktery se jmenuje t%20est.txt

stary wget to pojmenoval normalne  -   t est
je nekde nejaky prepinac, aby wget nenahrazoval mezeru (a dalsi znaky, treba
zavorky) a soubor pojmenoval tak jak ma byt ...

Zadal jste pri kompilaci make bzImage? Ta hlaska je typicka pro kernel
zkompilovany starym zpusobem, tzn. make zImage. Viz

Pozor! V techo souborech mohou byt systemove ucty, ktere v predchozim
nebyly a obracene. Take se mohou lisit UID, co by Vam mohlo privest do
nefunkcniho stavu pulku systemu (tj. vsechny programy, ktere pocitaji s
nastevnim nejakych prav na (sdilene) adresare).

Takze je to potreba porovnat nebo lepe - pridat do noveho passwd jen 
uzivatele s UID > 500.

Jedna se o nastaveni identifikace site a klic, ktery slouzi k sifrovani
komunikace (sit je odposlouchavatelna).

Mail na toto tema jsem posilal i do konference linux na linux.cz, takze by ho 
tam melo jit najit. Hledejte klicove slovo ESSID.

Nejednodussi je pouzit graficky nastroj pro koniguaci site (tusim 
redhat-network-config) a tam to vsechno nakliat (je tam bezdratove 
zarizeni a potrebne dialogy).

Drive se tyto udaje zadavaly do konfigurace PCMCIA (presneji se predavaly 
jako parametry modulu ovladace prislusne karty).


Tohle jsem nasel ve svem mailboxu:

PCMCIA WaveLAN + Red Hat 7.2 a novejsi

PCMCIA musi byt povoleno v /etc/sysconfig/pcmcia a melo by tam byt i cislo 
pouziteho chipu (treba PCIC=i82365). O PCMCIA adapteru (ne tedy PCMCIA 
karte) rekne vice (alespon by mel) program probe.

Sluzba pcmcia se musi pri startu spoustet a v netconf je potreba nastavit
IP adresu apod. podle adapteru (eth1, eth2), ktery bude prirazen PCMCIA
karte (detekce ovladace je automaticka podle obsahu souboru
/etc/pcmcia/config). Zarizeni lze i prejmenovat (napr. na wvlan0 apod).

Zavedeni modulu a detekce karty bude slyset akusticky a videt ve vypisu
dmesg.

Jde hlavne o nastaveni karty pomoci iwconfig (WaveLANy se drive
nastavovaly parametrem modulu pomoci /etc/pcmcia/config.opts). Lze to
nastavit bud globalne (pro vsechny pripadne karty v systemu) do souboru
/etc/pcmcia/wireless.opts (jsou tam jednotlive sekce podle MAC adresy
adapteru) nebo pridat do souboru /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth1
prislusne promenne:

MODE="Managed"
ESSID="IdEnTiFiKaCeSiTe"
KEY="off"

Otestovat to jde rucne prikazem iwconfig, ktery bud vypise konfiguraci 
nebo se s nim daji jednotlive parametry nastavovat. Nektere karty 
zareaguji po zmene MODE, jine po zmene KEY (jako ze se pokusi spojit s 
AP). Normalne by vystup mel vypadat asi takhle:

eth1      IEEE 802.11-DS  ESSID:"IdEnTiFiKaCeSiTe"  Nickname:"rumba.isssro-lb.cz"
          Mode:Managed  Frequency:2.432GHz  Access Point: 00:02:2D:4E:0C:9C

Dulezity je udaj Link Quality, pokud je prvni cislo 0, tak to nejede. Po
nastaveni potrebuje karta chvili na "chyceni" (rekneme vteriny az minutu).

Pokud by zalezelo na poradi a po bootu se karta "nechytla", bude potreba 
zmenit poradi nastaveni parametru karty ve skriptu /etc/pcmcia/wireless.

Po startu napiste prikaz dmesg a prohlednete si vystup. Najdete zminku o
CD-ROM a podivejte se, jaky nazev zarizeni byl pridelen (hdc, hdd a pod.)

Pak pripojte CD-ROM pomoci mount /dev/hdc /mnt/cdrom a opravte si tu 
symbolickou linku.

Zasadni problem bude v tom, ze jadro zarizeni eth "nevidi". Tj. bud neni v 
souboru /etc/modules.conf nadefinovano, jaky modul zarizeni eth0 prislusi 
nebo ze modul krtu edokaze ovladat.

S tim by Vam mel pomoci program kudzu. Detekci karty uvidite ve vystupu 
prikazu dmesg.

Dalsi veci je, ze muzete mit spatne zadane udaje pro nastaveni te karty, 
zkontrolujte tedy nastaveni site (njlepe v grafickych nastrojich RH).

Zkuste se podivat na ulimit a parametr -c v manu bashe.

Dobry den, chci se vas zeptat jestli nevite o nejakych akcelerov ovladacich
na R8500. Ty co ma ATI na webu mi nechodi, protoze jsou  zkompilovane po
jinou verzi gcc nez jadro. Slo by je tam nejak bezbolestne dostat? (treba
starym jadrem z Redhat7.2?) Nezkousel jste nekdo DRI drivery?

Vasí zvukovku sice neznám, ale uz jste jí provozoval pod linuxem a pokud
ano bez dodatecných ovladacu? Pokud ano tak me napada pouze nastavení
hlasitosti - coz by se projevilo tím ze napr. xmms by se tváril ze
prehrává, ale nic by nebylo slyset coz by Vás samozrejme napadlo. Pokud ne
zkuste se podívat na projekt alsa-sound. S pozdravem RT

Nothing could have prepared her for the shock she got when she opened the bag and found it was full of cash. Five-dollar bills, twenties, fifties and hundreds - all neatly rubber-banded in labelled piles.

"My first thought was that he had robbed a bank", says the 41-year-old woman, "There was over $71,000 dollars in that bag -- that's more than my husband earns in a year". 

The woman immediately called her husband at the car-dealership where he worked to tell him what she had discovered.He came home right away and they drove together to the boys school and picked him up.  Little did they suspect that where the money came from was more shocking than actually finding it in the closet. 

As it turns out, the boy had been sending out, via E-mail, a type of "Report" to E-mail addresses that he obtained off the Internet. Everyday after school for the past 2 months, he had been doing this right on his computer in his bedroom. 

"I just got the E-mail one day and I figured what the heck, I put my name on it like the instructions said and I started sending it out", says the clever 15-year-old. 

The E-mail letter listed 5 addresses and contained instructions to send one $5 dollar bill to each person on the list, then delete the address at the top and move the others addresses Down , and finally to add your name to the top of the list. 

The letter goes on to state that you would receive several thousand dollars in five-dollar bills within 2 weeks if you sent out the letter with your name at the top of the 5-address list. "I get junk E-mail all the time, and really did not think it was going to work", the boy continues. 

Within the first few days of sending out the E-mail, the Post Office Box that his parents had gotten him for his video-game magazine subscriptions began to fill up with not magazines, but envelopes containing $5 bills. 

"About a week later I rode [my bike] down to the post office and my box had 1 magazine and about 300 envelops stuffed in it. There was also a yellow slip that said I had to go up to the [post office] counter. 

I thought I was in trouble or something (laughs)". He goes on, "I went up  to the counter and they had a whole box of more mail for me. I had to ride back home and empty out my backpack because I could not carry it all". 

Over the next few weeks, the boy continued sending out the E-mail."The money just kept coming in and I just kept sorting it and stashing it in the closet, barely had time for my homework".He had also been riding his bike to several of the banks in his area and exchanging the $5 bills for twenties, fifties and hundreds. 

"I didn't want the banks to get suspicious so I kept riding to different banks with like five thousand at a time in my backpack. I would usually tell the lady at the bank counter that my dad had sent me in to exchange the money] and he was outside waiting for me.One time the lady gave me a really strange look and told me that she would not be able to do it for me and my dad would have to come in and do it, but I just rode to the next bank down the street (laughs)." 

Surprisingly, the boy did not have any reason to be afraid.The reporting news team examined and investigated the so-called "chain-letter" the boy was sending out and found that it was not a chain-letter at all.In fact, it was completely legal according to US Postal and Lottery Laws, Title 18, Section 1302 and 1341, or Title 18, Section 3005 in the US code, also in the code of federal regulations, Volume 16, Sections 255 and 436, which state a product or service must be exchanged for money received. 

Every five-dollar bill that he received contained a little note that read, "Please send me report number XYX".This simple note made the letter legal because he was exchanging a service (A Report on how-to) for a five-dollar fee.

Asi sem napsal blby priklad - nemelo to byt na HTTP, ale na FTP :(

na FTP se soubor muze jmenovat i s mezerou - kdyz potom takovy soubor z FTP
stahnu, ma ve svem nazvu ty spec. znaky :(  na starem RH 7.[2|3] to soubory
pojmenovavalo dobre, ale v RH8.0 (asi nova verze wget) to pojmenovava spatne
:(

His mother was cleaning and putting laundry away when she came across a large brown paper bag that was suspiciously buried beneath some clothes and a skateboard in the back of her 15-year-old sons closet. Nothing could have prepared her for the shock she got when she opened the bag and found it was full of cash. Five-dollar bills, twenties, fifties and hundreds - all neatly rubber-banded in labeled piles.

"My first thought was that he had robbed a bank", says the 41-year-old woman, "There was over $71,000 dollars in that bag -- that's more than my husband earns in a year".
The woman immediately called her husband at the car-dealership where he worked to tell him what she had discovered.  He came home right away and they drove together to the boys school and picked him up. Little did they suspect that where the money came from was more shocking than actually finding it in the closet.As it turns out, the boy had been sending out, via E-mail, a type of "Report" to E-mail addresses that he obtained off the Internet. Everyday after school for the past 2 months, he had been doing this right on his computer in his bedroom.
 
"I just got the E-mail one day and I figured what the heck, I put my name on it like the instructions said and I started sending it out", says the clever 15-year-old.
 
The E-mail letter listed 5 addresses and contained instructions to send one $5 dollar bill to each person on the list, then delete the address at the top and move the others addresses Down , and finally to add your name to the top of the list.
 
The letter goes on to state that you would receive several thousand dollars in five-dollar bills within 2 weeks if you sent out the letter with your name at the top of the 5-address list. "I get junk E-mail all the time, and really did not think it was going to work", the boy continues.
 
Within the first few days of sending out the E-mail, the Post Office Box that his parents had gotten him for his video-game magazine subscriptions began to fill up with not magazines, but envelopes containing $5 bills.
 
"About a week later I rode [my bike] down to the post office and my box had 1 magazine and about 300 envelops stuffed in it. There was also a yellow slip that
said I had to go up to the [post office] counter. I thought I was in trouble or something (laughs)". He goes on, "I went up to the counter and they had a whole box of more mail for me. Zda se, ze jde o upozorneni na spam od hlidaciho demona. Vice

Otazkou je proc a kam vlastne tento dopis smeroval. Rozhodne 
bych to bral jako pobidku k provereni bezpecnostniho 
nastaveni Vaseho (zakaznikova) routeru. Pravdepodobne se tam 
nekdo naboural nebo pres Vas router rozesila spam.

Trefa. Ale myslim si, ze ten jejich puvodni router nejspis byl jinak
nakonfigurovany a delal toho krom routovani podstatne vice (NAT). 

Odkud si vubec vyzvedavate postu? A kam ji pri odesilani posilate? (myslim
tim SMTP/POP servery samozrejme). Predpokladam-li ze zvenku a vy vevnitr
mate SMTP na verejne IP, tak se nedivim ze se to stalo.

Reknete jim, ze je to chyba jejich predchoziho spravce, ze nezdokumentoval
nastaveni toho jejich routeru (a taky jejich, ze to nechteli). Na vsechno
totiz prijit hned nelze, zvlast u unixu (taky jsem se kdysi nachytal kdyz
meli silene nestandardnosti - na druhou stranu je delam i ja, ale v
adresari /root nechavam komentar nebo dodam navod i s obrazkama - kdyz k
takovemu stroji prijdete za dva roky, vzpominejte!).

Well, this is a very bad idea. Wery much people needs kpackage, because it

dependencies, numbers of versions etc. Why is obsolete? It is not possible

Se zajmem jsem si precetl vyjadreni na severu Linux na CD

ohledne faktu, ze nebudou dale distribuovat Linux Red Hat (mozna se jedna o 
nedorozumeni a casem se to vysvetli - nevim), ale spolu se zmenami v RH 
distribuci toho zacinam mit nejak dost. Muzete nekdo poradit jak a na koho 
v RH vznaset dotazy a kde vyvolat diskusi? Postoj RH se mi nejak nelibi 
(treba jim krivdim) a rad bych mel jasno driv, nez bude pozde.
Samozrejme - resenim je migrovat treba na Mandrake nebo Debian (maji v CR 
pomerne velkou a hlavne dobrou podporu), ale napred bych si to rad ujasnil

Zdravim,

nedavno se mi stal nikoliv vyjimecny problem - vypalil jsem kamaradovi 3
CDcka s RH 7.3, pouzil jsem image stazene z nejakeho zrcadla. Druhe CDcko
nechodilo, nevim proc. Jak muze v takove situaci reagovat uzivatel, ktery
treba chce s Linuxem poprve zaexperimentovat?

"Ono se to ani nenainstaluje, to je tedy system. A jak ze se to jmenuje?
RedHat? To musim rict vecer v hospode..." A vrati se zpet k wihnilows.

Nechci se zastavat RH, jejich rozhodnuti je mozna az moc razantni, ale na
zaklade popsane situace dokazu pochopit, ze se jim nelibi, kdyz jejich
jmeno (nic jineho nemaji - neni to monopolisticky moloch) kazi nekdo jako
ja, kdo "jen" blbe vypali image.

Problem je s logy a nazvem Red Hat, ktere jsou kryty licneci a RH nema 
zajem, aby nekdo vydaval za Red Hat neco, co nepochazi primo od nich (tj. 
nemaji kontrolu nad kvalitou a obsahem). Maji definovano neco jako 'legal 
use'.

Pokud by Linux na CD prodavali CD, nesmeli by je oznacovat jako Red Hat 
Linux, coz ostatne bylo diskutovano jiz pred vice jak rokem.

To spise dosahnout toho, aby do Kpackage dopsal nekdo to, co v nem chybi. 
RPM je v 8.0 novejsi a napriklad jinak zachazi s digitalnimi podpisy.

Pochybuju, ze nekdo z RH dostane za ukol doprogramovat neco do KDE.

Jejich zamereni je na Glibc, jadro a dalsi zakladni komponenty. Na vic
nemaji prostredky (BTW: koupil jste si tu distribuci? Pokud ne, tak spise
napiste to prislusne rozsireni do KDE a tim dosahnete sveho cile dokonce
lepe).

Pokud si myslite, ze by RH mel delat i dalsi veci, bylo by nutne bud 
ziskat investory a uvrhnout firmu do cervenych cisel nebo by museli 
prestat delat nektere veci, ktere v soucasne dobe delaji. Take je potreba 
si uvedomit, ze prijmy z distribuce jsou minoritni v porovnani se zbytkem. 
Majoritu maji enterprise reseni, cili RH se spravne bude zamerovat na 
enterprise reseni (tj. jadro, glibc apod).

Take nerozumim tomu, proc je redhat-config-packages nepouzitelny. Nebo 
jste u nej zalozil z tohoto duvodu nejaky zaznam?

Nezbyva mi nez souhlasit. Vzpominam si na epizodu, kdy bylo u jednoho
cisla casopisu CHIP prilozeno CD s nefunkcni mutaci Red Hat Linuxu 7.1 
a to jeste bylo na papirovem obalu originalni logo i potisk, takze CD 
vypadalo jako originalni medium. Horsi reklamu si Red Hat v cechach
nemohl prat...

	Rozhraní je výrazně chudší. Třeba pro sledování závislostí (a taky
rychlý obsah balíčku, shromáždění o instalovaných, neinstalovaných,
aktualizovaných balíčcích na jednom místě atd.) bylo kpackage dost dobré (až
nenahraditelné, jak se ukazuje) a taky mi dost chybí, ale takový je život,
kdo chce, může s tím něco udělat, ale na bugreport to není.
A vzhledem ke stáří všech redhat-config-* se dá čekat nějaký vývoj i u
těchto nástrojů.

Vsem dekuji zaradu, udajne je to vsechno tak. On to tam totiz za firemnim routerem prasi jeden hlupak, Ing.Chudik.
Ja jsem jeste nic nezvoral, protoze jsem svuj router zatim nerozjel.

Uz jsem to vyresil, beha jak gnorpm, tak kpackage.

A ted k veci. Napred gnorpm.
Pouzijte balicek z RH 7.3, tedy 
1)  rpm -ivh gnorpm-0.96-14.i386.rpm
Fik, fik a mame funkcni gnorpm.

Kpackage je ponekud spletitejsi.
2) Stahl jsem si zdrojaky z
ftp://ftp.kde.org/pub/kde/stable/3.0.4/RedHat/8.0/i386/
konkretne kdeadmin-3.0.4.tar.bz2
a zkusil prelozit, ale skoncil jsem na chybe s nejakym include od X11 
souboru. (Necekali jste, ze se to povede, ze ne? :-)

Tak jinak:
3) Stahnul jsem si balicek pro RH 7.3
kdeadmin-3.0.4-0.73.1.i386.rpm
4) vzal hezky mc (Midnight Commander) - nezapomente rpm balicku shodit 
executable atribut, pokud jej ma nastaveny.
5) Milym mc pekne nahledneme do balicku (nezapomente mrknout do VSECH 
adresaru!) a veskere soubory ohledne kpackage pekne "vypreparujeme" 
(rozumejte - nakopirujeme) do adresaru odpovidajicich adresarum v balicku.
6) kpackage z konzole nenaskoci - hlasi chybu s knihovnou, ktera je zavisla 
na gcc 2.96 nebo co
7) Z prostredi KDE nabehne kpackage jak z praku :-)
8) Nebudu firme Red Hat nic uctovat, nicmene tento navod si, doufam, prelozi 
sami...

No tak tohle fakt sedi od nekoho, kde nema skutecne jmeno a nevi, ze po carce
ci tecce se pise mezera. Navic jak jsme si na te IP adrese overili, rozhodne
nepatrite k lidem, kteri by nemeli moznost psat z neanonymni domeny, pod
prezdivkou evokujici osobu ve veku 10 let.

Krome toho nemame zadny objektivni dukaz o tom, kdo zavinil spamovani,
ostatne nas to ani nijak nezajima. Nicmene vzhledem k tomu, ze tam sidli
server jedouci zrejme pod NT4.0 se starou exchange, tak bych se nedivil,
kdyby byl po rekonfiguraci firewallu promptne hacnut. A pak uz to bude
jedine na Vas.

Takle se rychle dopracujete k tomu, ze Vam lide nebudou odpovidat vubec.

To je ale vedlejsi. Dulezite pro me je to, jakym zpusobem jste zde ochoten poskytnout informace, ktere jsou k necemu.
A vy nejenze nejste schopen podat rozumnou formou radu pro jakoukoli blbost, ale jeste tady resite otazky "formy", ktere s principialnimi vecni, kvuli nimz tato diskuse jede, nema co do cineni.

Dobrý den,

máme Linux RH 7.1, na něm na běží Proxy server (squid), přístup na internet
je povolen pouze pro některé IP adresy, nastavení restrikcí vypadá
následovně:
$IPTABLES -I FORWARD -p TCP --dport 80:83 -s $OFFNET -j DROP
$IPTABLES -I INPUT -p TCP --dport 111:65535 -s $OFFNET -j DROP
$IPTABLES -I FORWARD -p TCP --dport 80:83 -s 000.000.000.000 -j ACCEPT
#Client IP address
$IPTABLES -I FORWARD -p TCP --dport 111:65535 -s 000.000.000.000 -j ACCEPT
#Client IP address

- s tímto nastavením uživatelé, kteří nemají přístup na internet (jejich IP
není ve výše uvedeném seznamu)
mají problémy při komunikaci Outlooku se serverem,  když kliknou na
příjmout/odeslat poštu, komunikace
je velice pomalá (kolem 30 sekund)

Povolili jsme porty 1000:5000:
$IPTABLES -I FORWARD -p TCP --dport 80:83 -s $OFFNET -j DROP
$IPTABLES -I INPUT -p TCP --dport 111:65535 -s $OFFNET -j DROP
$IPTABLES -I INPUT -p TCP --dport 1000:5000 -s $OFFNET -j ACCEPT
$IPTABLES -I FORWARD -p TCP --dport 80:83 -s 000.000.000.000 -j ACCEPT
#Client IP address
$IPTABLES -I FORWARD -p TCP --dport 111:65535 -s 000.000.000.000 -j ACCEPT
#Client IP address

Tímto jsme vyřešili problém s Outlookem, ale umožnili jsme komukoliv, kdo si
nastaví v nastavení-ovládací
panely-možnosti sítě internet-záložka připojení-nastavení místní sítě LAN,
přístup na internet, i když jeho
IP adresa není povolena pro přístup na internet.

Prosím poraďte mi, jak se dá tohle vyřešit.

Squid pocuva na akom porte?
Ja som si doteraz myslel, ze ked das:

X= a,b,c,d,.... letter of the HDD
y=number of the partition on the hdX

Notice: mount -r -t ntfs /dev/hda  /mnt/diskc

Zdravim,

ten vypis je z naseho postovniho mail serveru, pres nej funguje mail a
internet,
na nem mame taky zapnutej squid. Na klientskych PC je nainstalovan Outlook
a ten ma v nastaveni pop3 serveru primo IP adresu linux mail serveru.
Squid beha minimalne na porte 3128.

Tak jak to nastavit?

Dobry den,

mam problem s javou. Nainstaloval jsem si J2SDK1.4.0 z rpm.bin. Instalace
probehla vporadku a nehodilo to zadny problem, ale po instalaci, kdyz zkusim
spustit cokoliv z direktorare bin v jave (/usr/java/j2sdk1.4.0_01/bin) nebo
./jre/bin, tak mi to mi to hodi chybovou hlasku a vytvori soubor
hs_err_pidXXXX.log (viz priloha). Je to vzdycky to samy. Zkusil jsem to
poslat i na http://java.sun.com/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi jak pisou, ale zadna
odpoved.
Jedu na RH7.0. Nejsem si ani vedom toho, ze bych tam nejak moc
preinstalovaval nejaky balicky (libc,...), ktery by pouzival. Nevite nekdo
co s tim delat?

His mother was cleaning and putting laundry away when she came across a large brown paper bag that was suspiciously buried beneath some clothes and a skateboard in the back of her 15-year-old sons closet. Nothing could have prepared her for the shock she got when she opened the bag and found it was full of cash. Five-dollar bills, twenties, fifties and hundreds - all neatly rubber-banded in labelled piles.

"My first thought was that he had robbed a bank", says the 41-year-old woman, "There was over $71,000 dollars in that bag --that's more than my husband earns in a year".

The woman immediately called her husband at the car-dealership where he worked to tell him what she had discovered.He came home right away and they drove together to the boys school and picked him up. Little did they suspect that where the money came from was more shocking than actually finding it in the closet.

As it turns out, the boy had been sending out, via E-mail, a type of "Report" to E-mail addresses that he obtained off the Internet. Everyday after school for the past 2 months, he had been doing this right on his computer in his bedroom.

"I just got the E-mail one day and I figured what the heck, I put my name on it like the instructions said and I started sending it out", says the clever 15-year-old.

The E-mail letter listed 5 addresses and contained instructions to send one $5 dollar bill to each person on the list, then delete the address at the top and move the others addresses Down , and finally to add your name to the top of the list.

The letter goes on to state that you would receive several thousand dollars in five-dollar bills within 2 weeks if you sent out the letter with your name at the top of the 5-address list. "I get junk E-mail all the time, and really did not think it was going to work", the boy continues.

Within the first few days of sending out the E-mail, the Post Office Box that his parents had gotten him for his video-game magazine subscriptions began to fill up with not magazines, but envelopes containing $5 bills.

"About a week later I rode [my bike] down to the post office and my box had 1 magazine and about 300 envelops stuffed in it. There was also a yellow slip that said I had to go up to the [post office] counter. I thought I was in trouble or something (laughs)". He goes on, "I went up to the counter and they had a whole box of more mail for me. I had to ride back home and empty out my backpack because I could not carry it all". Over the next few weeks, the boy continued sending out the E-mail. "The money just kept coming in and I just kept sorting it and stashing it in the closet, barely had time for my homework".He had also been riding his bike to several of the banks in his area and exchanging the $5 bills for twenties, fifties and hundreds.

"I didn't want the banks to get suspicious so I kept riding to different banks with like five thousand at a time in my backpack. I would usually tell the lady at the bank counter that my dad had sent me in to exchange the money] and he was outside waiting for me.One time the lady gave me a really strange look and told me that she would not be able to do it for me and my dad would have to come in and do it, but I just rode to the next bank down the street (laughs)." Surprisingly, the boy did not have any reason to be afraid.The reporting news  team examined and investigated the so-called "chain-letter" the boy was sending out and found that it was not a chain-letter at all.In fact, it was completely legal according to US Postal and Lottery Laws, Title 18, Section 1302 and 1341, or Title 18, Section 3005 in the US code, also in the code of federal regulations, Volume 16, Sections 255 and 436, which state a product or service must be exchanged for money received.

Every five-dollar bill that he received contained a little note that read, "Please send me report number XYX".This simple note made the letter legal because he was exchanging a service (A Report on how-to) for a five-dollar fee.

Jednak to pisete jako Tatar od konce k zacatku, takze je prinejmensim

Az si to napisete poporade, pak si najdete prvni pravidlo ACCEPT pro Vase 
Outlooky (tj. zrejme nejaka vnejsi IP adresa a port 25+110).

Uvedomte si, ze prvni ACCEPT prijme datagram a ukonci prochazeni iptables.

Pak si zkuste uvedomit, co chcete povolit a zakazte pristup na proxy (port 
3128) a povolte pristup na port 25 (SMTP) a 110 (POP3).

Aby Vam nekdo byl schopen poradit, musel byste alspon naznacit, jak to 
mate zapojene, kde je SMTP server a kde POP3 server.

Take muzete zkusit tcpdump (pripadne vlozit logovaci pravidla do iptables) 
a sledovat, kde co a jak prochazi.

Zdravim,
mam na zkusenejsi uzivatele RH dotaz:
mam PC s BIOSem podporujicim max. 32GB HDD, disk ma fyzicky 100GB. Ve Windowsech(FAT32) jsem aplikoval DiskWizarda a vidim celych 100GB disku. Na disk ale potrebuji ale take pristupovat z RH-7.3, jak mam postupovat, abych disk nezhroutil?

Pristupujte uplne stejne jako z Windows.


Mimochodem pokud byl z Woken viditelny "v cele sve krase" (100 
GB), pak neni duvod aby ho linux videl jinak.


Zkuste si dat v linuxu fdisk /dev/hdX a nechte si vypsat 
partisny (p). Pokud je spravne uvidite a nebude to hlasit zadne 
chyby, neni duvod proc by to v linuxu nechodilo.


Mimochodem mel jsem opacny problem - BIOS zvlada velke disky, 
ale slo o RAID o celkove kapacite 120 GB. Ovsem fdisk z Woken 
hlasil jenom cca 56 GB (jednoduchym vypoctem jsem zjistil, ze se 
"pretocil" na hodnote 65536 MB). Tak jsem ho rozdelil pod 
linuxem a ve Woknech jsem to jenom naformatoval. Coz probehlo 
dobre a slape to bezvadne ....

Linux uvidi disk normalne.

Musite jen zajistit, aby jadro (tj. oddil s /boot) lezel pod hranici, na
kterou BIOS vidi (protoze LILO i Grub pouzivaji pro zavedeni jadra sluzby
BIOSu).

Pokud byste to zajistit nemohl/nechtel, muzete porad jeste startovat z
diskety (nebo z CD-ROM, pripadne jineho zarizeni). Jadro po natazeni bude 
videt na disk normalne.

Pokud byste vsak mel disk vetsi nez cca 137GB, pak Vam nepomuze ani
svecena voda. Potrebujete totiz v tom pripade alespon ATA/100 IDE radic
(ani UDMA ATA/66 nestaci), jinak za danou hranici videt nebude...
