Mailing merged formatted text

Hi

I make a newsletter and send it out by e-mail to free subscribers.

However, I lose all formatting: everything looks unformatted: no bold,
no underlining, no different sizes.

Is there a way around, so I can keep the formatting in the merging
process ?

I work with Word 2000 and Outlook Express 5.
