HELP Sendmail won't send to some places!

Hello,

 I have been using Slackware Linux for some time, but have not really
studied using mail.  I tried to send myself an email on my compuserve
account to see if it would work.  The system log is as follows.

 I have another mail account = jwilcox na vecnet.com.  If I try to send a
message there it works as follows:

Sep  8 09:23:09 ihs1 sendmail[550]: JAA00547: to=jwilcox na vecnet.com,
ctladdr=jim
 (1000/100), delay=00:00:14, xdelay=00:00:09, mailer=esmtp,
relay=inbound.vecnet

 Is there something I must do in order for compuserve to recognize my
computer as a valid mail server (I assume this is the problem).
