The dependency to texlive-latex in R is buggy. It should have
tex(latex) because it is independent on texlive but just
requires latex.

Nope. They are binary packages that originate from the TeX Live SVN so
it is their real upstream. In other words it makes sense to to prepend
the texlive-* prefix IMO.
