[Fedora TeX Live] Problems after F17->F18 upgrade

	Hello,

has anybody tried to upgrade a F17 system with TeXlive from Jindrich's
TeXlive repository installed to F18?

I did - the fedup upgrade finished without problems, but now pdftex
complains about wrong version of libpoppler.so. So I have tried
to get the texlive-release package for F18:

# rpm -Uvh http://jnovy.fedorapeople.org/texlive/2012/packages.f18/texlive-release.noarch.rpm

This package has the wrong repository path:

# yum -y update
[,,,]
http://jnovy.fedorapeople.org/texlive/2012/packages.fc18/repodata/repomd.xml: [Errno 14] HTTP Error 404 - Not Found : http://jnovy.fedorapeople.org/texlive/2012/packages.fc18/repodata/repomd.xml

The directory at fedorapeople is named "packages.f18", not "packages.fc18".
However, after editing the /etc/yum.repos.d/texlive.repo, running
"yum clean all" and "yum update", I am getting lots of conflicts
- here is the end of the "yum -y update" output:

[...]
xsane-0.998-12.fc17.x86_64 has missing requires of libtiff.so.3()(64bit)
xz-libs-5.1.2-2alpha.fc18.x86_64 is a duplicate with xz-libs-5.1.2-1alpha.fc17.i686
zlib-1.2.7-9.fc18.x86_64 is a duplicate with zlib-1.2.5-7.fc17.i686

So apparently my system has not been properly upgraded using fedup,
possibly because of the texlive.f17 dependencies. I still have lots
of .fc17 packages:

$ rpm -qa|grep -c \.fc17\.
1053
$ rpm -qa|grep -c \.fc18\.
1698

I am not sure about the library dependencies problem (it might as well
be the bug in fedup), but the URL in the texlive-release.noarch.rpm
should probably be fixed.

	Thanks,

-Yenya

Please don't top post and in particular don't attach entire digests to your
mail or we'll all soon be using bittorrent to read the list. --Alan Cox
