Nejde mi kompilace MySQL a nefunguje PHP3

Jiz nekolik dni se pokousim rozjet zde velmi propagovanou kombinaci
Apache, PHP a MySQL.
Stahnul jsem si apache-1.3.3, php-3.0.5 a mysql-3.21.33b.
Postupoval jsem podle navoduuu.
Prelozit mysql se mi nepodarilo.
Hlasi mi neco jako:

Problem je tedy nekde v souboru complete.c .
Dobre, rekl jsem si. Zkusim zatim apache+php jako modul.
Prelozim php jako modul, prelozim apache s modulem php3,
prekopiruju httpd do /usr/sbin , do srm.conf pridam 
AddType application/x-httpd-php3 .php3 ,
restartuju httpd
a netscape mi soubor s priponou .php3 chce ulozit na disk jako neznamy
MIME-type.
Ted prave zkousim prelozit php jako cgi, to snad pujde.

Delam nekde neco blbe, nebo je well-known-fact, ze tato kompinace nefunguje
a ze v mysql je nejaka chyba?
