No, mozna mi neco uniklo, ale opravdu je to freeware, tj. software, za
jehoz pouzivani neni nutno nic platit, ale autor se nevzdava vsech
svych prav (narozdil od public domain). Ovsem pochopitelne ne vsechen
freeware je "free software" (kde "free" znaci "freedom") a s tim, ze
by bylo zadouci, aby to lid obecny pochopil, souhlasim.

Mnohem vic mne stve, kdyz z toho nekdo udela *shareware*. Jako treba CD
posledniho Chipu zaradilo Apache vesele do teto kategorie. A propos,
rekl bych, ze jeho tvurci pri te prilezitosti porusili jednu klauzuli
GPL (ne u Apache, ale v tzv. "kancelarskem Linuxu", totiz Monkey +
StarOffice), totiz:

  3. You may copy and distribute the Program (or a work based on it,
under Section 2) in object code or executable form under the terms of
Sections 1 and 2 above provided that you also do one of the following:
 
    a) Accompany it with the complete corresponding machine-readable
    source code, which must be distributed under the terms of Sections
    1 and 2 above on a medium customarily used for software interchange; or,
 
    b) Accompany it with a written offer, valid for at least three
    years, to give any third party, for a charge no more than your

Ono tam totiz dali hromadu binarek (samorozbalovaci UMSDOSovany ZIP,
pekny hnus) a nikde zadna zminka o tom, ze existuji nejake zdrojaky a kde
je sehnat (oni byli dost skoupi i popis toho, jak to pouzivat).
