Yes you can, but you'll need to purchase vmware. It's inexpensive
though.

Well those two programs will be just stable as they were under Win98.
What you get extra is that operating system will not hang nearly as
much, and you can you hundreds of programs written specifically for
Linux.

But to expect that Linux is "better Windows than Windows" would be
false.
