I would suggest this:
When RedHat Linux offers to create a boot floppy, say OK. Then, when the
system reboots, insert the floppy. Use that special floppy whenever you want
to work in Linux.
It's not an ideal solution, but it's a start. Try it and report back.

"Linux" per se does not offer support or anything else. Your Linux vendor
does. In your case it is RedHat, Inc. http://www.redhat.com
"Linux" is the operating system (technically speaking, it is just the CORE of
the operating system), it is not owned by any company, and the people who
wrote it (and who own the copyright) did not receive any money from you.
RedHat did, if you purchased your Linux. If you did not purchase RedHat Linux
{like you downloaded it from the Internet), you are not legally entitled to
any support, but you will receive some support for free from Linux
enthusiasts.
