Similarly, when checking docbook toolchains with the newest texlive:
dblatex package on f17:
dblatex-0.3-4.fc17.noarch
includes:
/usr/share/texmf/tex/latex/dblatex
/usr/share/texmf/tex/latex/dblatex/attachfile.sty
/usr/share/texmf/tex/latex/dblatex/db2latex.sty
/usr/share/texmf/tex/latex/dblatex/dbk_admonition.sty
/usr/share/texmf/tex/latex/dblatex/dbk_annot.sty
/usr/share/texmf/tex/latex/dblatex/dbk_biblio.sty
/usr/share/texmf/tex/latex/dblatex/dbk_callout.sty
/usr/share/texmf/tex/latex/dblatex/dbk_changebar.sty
/usr/share/texmf/tex/latex/dblatex/dbk_core.sty
/usr/share/texmf/tex/latex/dblatex/dbk_fonts.sty
/usr/share/texmf/tex/latex/dblatex/dbk_graphic.sty
/usr/share/texmf/tex/latex/dblatex/dbk_headfoot.sty
/usr/share/texmf/tex/latex/dblatex/dbk_hyper.sty
/usr/share/texmf/tex/latex/dblatex/dbk_item.sty
/usr/share/texmf/tex/latex/dblatex/dbk_locale.sty
/usr/share/texmf/tex/latex/dblatex/dbk_revision.sty
/usr/share/texmf/tex/latex/dblatex/dbk_table.sty
/usr/share/texmf/tex/latex/dblatex/dbk_title.sty
/usr/share/texmf/tex/latex/dblatex/dbk_verbatim.sty
/usr/share/texmf/tex/latex/dblatex/dbsimple.sty
/usr/share/texmf/tex/latex/dblatex/docbook.sty
/usr/share/texmf/tex/latex/dblatex/lastpage.sty
/usr/share/texmf/tex/latex/dblatex/multirow2.sty
these paths are not found by texlive-2012, but can be worked-around
using --texstyle=/usr/share/texmf/tex/latex/dblatex/docbook.sty on the
command line. That's not enough though, as continuing.....
... the following dependencies are now needed by dblatex:
texlive-multirow
texlive-subfigure
texlive-appendix
but once installed that still seems incomplete as output error log
includes:
built-in module pdftex registered
no support found for ifxetex
no support found for fontspec
no support found for xltxtra
no support found for fontenc
no support found for inputenc
no support found for fancybox
built-in module makeidx registered
no support found for docbook
built-in module bibtopic registered
before erroring out with more font-related messages.
